Mr. Fizzell has over 30 years experience in public and private music instruction. He earned his bachelor's degree in violin performance from the University of Texas at Austin where he served as concert master of the U.T. Symphony orchestra. He played for 9 years in the Austin Symphony 1st violin section and was the principal second violinist with the Austin Lyric Opera in it's first 5 seasons. He founded and directed the Christian Youth Orchestra of Central Texas. Aside from directing the Christian Youth Symphony of Austin, he freelances as a professional violinist in the central Texas area, teaches privately, and manages & performs with his professional quartet, Rose Strings. He and his wife Cindy homeschooled 2 sons through high school and are currently home schooling thier 9 year old daughter.
